I'd love to get into hollow boards at some point. Ed, one of our customers, is an amazing craftsman…he's going to use Paulownia to make another waveski like this but lighter and better for ocean use. This are the woods he used last time:
Pretty sweet stuff, huh?A couple pics of the last waveski are attached. The bottom is balsa from Hamakua and the deck is western red cedar. Took about two months of spare time to build and is a kick to ride.
Hopefully we'll have pics of his new board in just a few months.
